Her Safe Return.
Born into life as a lie,
She had these wings to untie...
Told to believe or pretend,
She'd never be one of them...
A shift in her reality,
Questing for humanity,
A gift to earn,
Another page for her to turn.
She had to live her life that way,
So merrily she danced away,
To let us yearn,
And hope someday for her return...
Lost in the cold and the dark,
She didn't know where to start...
Racing to her destiny,
Another wonder left to see,
She overcame,
Anger by another name,
And everyday she stronger grew,
As if inside she maybe knew,
What we could learn,
While waiting for her safe return...
She left us here in the end,
Joining the line to ascend...
They say she made it to the top,
Before they saw her body drop,
From lack of air,
An empty wind blew through her hair,
And there they let her body lie,
Beneath the Himalayan sky,
Belonging there ,
Maybe more than anywhere...
She made it clear in the end,
She never was one of them,
Who toss upon the sea of night,
Waiting for the breaking light,
By which we learn,
Hoping for a safe return.
